Strawberry Iced Matcha Latte

This refreshing Strawberry Iced Matcha Latte combines sweet strawberry purée, creamy coconut milk, and earthy matcha for a vibrant and delicious café-style drink you can make at home. Perfect for warm days or a healthy afternoon pick-me-up!

Ingredients
  

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 50 ml hot water around 80°C
  • 100 ml coconut milk I used Alpro Barista Coconut
  • 50 g fresh strawberries
  • 1 –2 tsp white sugar adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh strawberry for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Strawberry Base
    Wash and hull the strawberries. Place them in a bowl and mash them using a fork, a potato masher, or blend them for a smoother purée. Stir in the sugar and mix well. Spoon the strawberry mixture into the bottom of your serving glass.
  • Prepare the Matcha Layer
    In a small bowl or matcha bowl, sift the matcha powder to remove clumps. Pour in the hot water and whisk using a bamboo whisk (chasen) or handheld frother until smooth and slightly frothy.
  • Assemble the Drink
    Fill the serving glass with ice over the strawberry purée. Slowly pour in the coconut milk over the ice. Finally, top with the prepared matcha. This creates a beautiful layered effect.
  • Garnish and Serve
    Garnish with a fresh strawberry and enjoy immediately with a straw.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the strawberry layer. Feel free to swap coconut milk with almond, oat, or regular milk. For a creamier texture, use barista-style plant milk. Stir before drinking to mix all the flavors together.
