- For the smoothie:
- ½ cup frozen mango chunks
- ½ cup fresh mango chunks or use all frozen if preferred
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 –2 thin slices of fresh ginger
- 150 ml water
- A few drops of lemon juice to taste
- 1 teaspoon orange zest or orange peel shavings
- A few ice cubes
- For serving optional:
- Fresh mint leaves
- Coconut flakes or shredded coconut
- Lemon slice or extra mango for garnish
Prepare the Ingredients:
Peel and slice the banana. Cut the fresh mango into chunks if not using pre-cut. Grate the orange zest and slice the ginger.
Add to Blender:
Place the banana, mango (fresh and/or frozen), ginger, orange zest, lemon juice, and water into a blender or blender cup. Add ice cubes if you like it extra cold.
Blend Until Smooth:
Use a high-speed blender or hand blender to blend until smooth and creamy. Add more water to adjust consistency if needed.
Serve and Enjoy:
Pour into a glass and garnish with coconut flakes, mint leaves, or lemon slice. Serve immediately.
You can use all frozen mango if fresh mango is unavailable.
A hand blender works well if you're making a single serving.
For a creamier texture, swap water for orange juice or a splash of coconut milk.
Adjust ginger amount depending on how spicy you like your smoothie.
