Ingredients

  • 100 g all-purpose flour
  • 120 –130 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  • Add part of the milk, then sift in the flour and baking powder. Mix gently.
  • Pour in the remaining milk and stir until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
  • Add the vegetable oil and mix until fully combined.
  • Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes.
  • Transfer the batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag.
  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. On a dry pan, pipe the batter into heart shapes.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, then flip and cook until golden.
  • Serve warm with strawberries, mint, and condensed milk or your favorite toppings.

Notes

The batter should be smooth and slightly thick, but still pourable.
If the batter is too thick, add a little more milk.
Cooking on medium heat helps achieve an even golden color without burning.
