- 300 g all-purpose flour or self-rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder only if using all-purpose flour
- 125 g Greek yogurt
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons brynza cheese crumbled (or feta)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil refined or light
- Fresh parsley finely chopped
- Optional: salt depending on the cheese saltiness
In a large bowl, combine the flour and baking powder (if needed).
Add the Greek yogurt, chopped garlic, crumbled brynza cheese, olive oil, and chopped parsley. Mix until a dough forms.
Taste the cheese. If it’s not very salty, add a pinch of salt to the dough.
Knead the dough until smooth. Add a little flour if sticky or a splash of yogurt if too dry.
Divide the dough into 3–4 pieces. Shape each into a ball and flatten into a disc about 1/4 inch thick.
Heat a non-stick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Optionally, after cooking, sprinkle with salt or rub with a cut clove of garlic for extra flavor.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Use full-fat Greek yogurt for a richer flavor.
Brynza can be replaced with feta cheese.
Adjust salt based on the cheese's saltiness.
You can brush the warm flatbreads with garlic butter for even more flavor.
Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat before serving.
