Garlic Flatbread in a Pan (No Yeast, No Oven)

This soft and fluffy garlic flatbread is made in a pan — no oven or yeast required. Just mix flour, yogurt, and baking powder, then cook until golden and brush with garlic butter. A perfect quick side for soups, dips, and Mediterranean meals.

Ingredients
  

  • For the dough:
  • 150  g plain flour all-purpose flour
  • 150  g plain yogurt unsweetened
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • tsp salt
  • For the garlic butter:
  • 25  g butter
  • 1 large garlic clove or 2 small, minced
  • A little chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yogurt, baking powder, and salt. Mix with a fork until a rough dough forms.
  • Transfer to a floured surface and knead briefly until smooth. Shape into a ball, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll the dough into a log and cut into 4 equal pieces. Flatten slightly, dust with flour, and roll each piece into a thin round.
  • (Optional) Score one side of each flatbread with a criss-cross pattern using a knife.
  • Heat a dry pan over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and lightly puffed.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic and parsley.
  • Brush warm flatbreads with garlic butter and serve immediately.

Notes

No need to over-knead — just until the dough is smooth.
You can use Greek yogurt or regular yogurt.
Add chili flakes, cheese, or za’atar for variation.
These flatbreads are best enjoyed warm and fresh.
