Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice sourdough or country bread
  • 180 –200 g creamy cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 fresh fig
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp chopped pistachios
  • flaky sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Toast 1 slice of sourdough or country bread until golden and crisp.
  • Whisk together 180–200 g creamy cottage cheese and 1 tbsp Greek yogurt until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture generously over the toast.
  • Slice 1 fresh fig into wedges and arrange on top.
  • Drizzle with 1 tsp olive oil and 1 tsp maple syrup.
  • Sprinkle with 1 tbsp chopped pistachios, flaky sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Choose ripe, soft figs for the best flavor.
Toast the bread well so it stays crisp.
For extra flavor, lightly sear the fig wedges for 1–2 minutes before serving.
Honey works well instead of maple syrup.
